Fearne Cotton reveals her social life is ‘down the s***ter’ as she struggles to balance work and motherhood

The presenter also opened up about her battle with depression and says she would 'be burnt out' if she tried to spend time with her girlfriends with so much on her plate

FEARNE Cotton has confessed that her social life has gone "down the s***ter’"since she had her two children; Rex, five, and Honey, three.

The 37-year-old presenter, who is married to Ronnie Wood’s son Jesse, 41, revealed that she has struggled to find the balance between work and motherhood, and her friendships have suffered.

Speaking to , she said: “My social life has gone down the s***ter. I used to see my friends every day, but I just can’t fit it in right now.

“If I did I’d be burnt out because my work like is so busy. So, I think you do have to lose something. My girlfriends aren’t going anywhere.”

It is no wonder Fearne has struggled to find the right balance while juggling a weekly TV stint on ITV2’s Celebrity Juice alongside Keith Lemon and Holly Willoughby, while also hosting her weekly podcast Happy.

She is set to publish her tenth book, Calm: The Journal, later this week.

And while she appears to have it all from the outside, Fearne confessed that she constantly battles with regrets and admires those who don’t.

“I will never be one of those people who has no regrets – I’ve got loads of regrets, I don’t understand how you can’t,” she shared with the November issue of the publication.

Fearne, who has been open about her depression battle in the past, also revealed that she's struggled with her mental health over the summer.

She said: "I’m good now, but this summer was weird… everything was worrying or annoying.

"I had a feeling of being a bit overwhelmed and knowing I wasn’t enjoying the things that I should. Then there was this weird turning point…

"I hadn’t changed anything… but I just woke up and felt a bit better one day. I had some friends over and my husband [of four years] said, 'Oh my god! Your spark’s back, I can see it!'"

Her candid interview comes after she discussed how being a working mother has left her feeling “run down” and “neglected”.

The star said: “Because there’s lots of different things I’m trying to run, the thing that I neglect the most is me.

“I’m always rundown or the one who has no clean clothes or hasn’t eaten properly and everyone else I’ve sorted out.”

And Fearne also admitted she and her husband did occasionally have blazing rows like any other couple.

But she stressed they "massively support each other" and insisted her two children and two step-children were her main focus.

Fearne said: "These are siblings who are going to grow up as a four."

Speaking on Ctrl Alt Delete podcast Fearne said: “So that’s what I’m working on, something for me.
"The juggle is tough, somedays and other days it feels very, very overwhelming.”
