Strictly Come Dancing star Katie Piper reveals why she kisses people she doesn’t like — her skin grafts are from her bum
STRICTLY contestant Katie Piper says she kisses people she doesn’t like — because skin grafts on her face were taken from her bum.
The telly presenter, 34, had extensive reconstructive surgery after an acid attack orchestrated by her ex-boyfriend in 2004.
But Katie — who danced a paso doble with pro partner Gorka Marquez on Saturday night — made light of where surgeons sourced the skin.
She said: “They wanted to do one clean graft so it wouldn’t be patchy, so to get a sheet from the front was difficult and everywhere else was too small.
“So they took one sheet from where my bra strap starts to below the buttocks to use as a skin graft.
So I have my buttocks sewn to my face, so I’m constantly talking out of my a**e.
And anyone I don’t like I always make sure to kiss, so they can kiss my a**e!”
Katie, who has had more than 250 operations after suffering third degree burns, added: “I also found out from this how hairy my a**e is!
"I get a fuzzy growth under my eyes.”
