THE secret to Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt’s relationship has been revealed as their relationship goes from strength-to-strength 14 months after Love Island.
They are one of the few Love Island couples to have stayed together after leaving the villa, but could shunning the spotlight be the key to their successful romance?
Camilla, 28, who previously snogged Prince Harry, initially struggled to find love in the villa last year as she got dumped by millionaire Jonny Mitchell.
However, all that changed when former Calvin Klein model Jamie, 27, joined the show and swept her off her feet.
They bonded over books and Camilla’s passion for humanitarianism – including her work clearing landmines in Afghanistan.
It wasn’t long before Camilla fell for the hunk, telling the other contestants: “I am falling for him and I’m trying really hard not to and so I’m fighting every feeling.”
They confirmed their relationship by having sex in the villa and Camilla confessed that Jamie was very well-endowed.
She told Montana Brown: “I can confirm he doesn’t have a small penis…
“I can confirm he’s perfect, and he also has a perfect penis.”
Although Camilla failed the lie detector challenge over her fears that she might not be good enough for Jamie, their romance in the villa continues and they came second in the final.
They continued to see each other after leaving Love Island, and their romance continued to grow while the other Islanders’ romances crumbled.
The winners – Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay – split in December, while Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes split at the start of this year despite landing their own reality show.
In recent months Camilla and Jamie have been attending less showbiz events and keeping their distance from the spotlight.
They have continued sharing pictures on Instagram of their romantic adventures, including quiet weekends away in teh countryside as they dodged the London party scene.
Jamie revealed he opened up to his girlfriend about his battle with depression and praised her for helping him through.
The only rock point in the romance came in December, when Jamie was caught on camera screaming at Camilla outside a charity bash in London.
He later explained the pictures as just a typical couple’s argument – claiming he was angry with her about trolls who had been tormenting her online.
However, Jamie is adamant he’s with Camilla for the long-run.
He told The Sun: “I know being with Camilla and working on projects like this [Sky’s Ocean Rescue] make me smile and that’s what I’m doing at the moment.
“We haven’t left each other’s side since we left the villa. We’ve only had three days apart since the end of the show.
“I definitely want Camilla to be my girlfriend by the end of the year. I am 100 per cent committed to her.
“We’ve already planned future trips for this year too.”
