BLACKADDER star, Tony Robinson, has hinted that the comedy classic could return for a fifth series.
The Baldrick actor, 72, wants to reunite with Rowan Atkinson and Hugh Laurie 30 years after the last episode aired.
He said: "I do see a version of the show coming back.
"There are a host of other periods in history which could be turned into a six-part Blackadder series.
"We’d have to get the old group back together again.
"I know everyone is busy doing wonderful things, but we all have fond memories so I’m sure we would work it out."
It is believed Atkinson and cast regular Tim McInnerny support a reboot.
The first four BBC series are among the most beloved in British comedy.
Originally written by Love Actually's Richard Curtis, it wasn't until comedian Ben Elton started having script input that the show really got into its stride.
Each series covers a period of history.
So far it has been set in the Middle Ages, Elizabethan England, the Georgian era and the trenches of World War One.
