Kim Tate’s Emmerdale return accidentally confirmed by ITV as announcer makes huge blunder
ITV has accidentally confirmed Kim Tate's return to Emmerdale in a whopping blunder.
The announcer on the channel confirmed actress Claire King will reprise her role in the ITV soap for the first time in 19 years by revealing the star will reveal all to Lorraine Kelly tomorrow morning.
He said: "It's been 20 years since she left the dales but she's back.
"Actress Claire King is with Lorraine at 8.30am."
Kim played by Claire first arrived in the village in 1989 and soon earned her name as a ruthless gold-digger.
She attempted murder, faked her own death and stood by while her husband Frank died.
Kim didn’t have many redeeming qualities but her love affair with Dave Glover brought out her softer side until he tragically died saving Kim’s baby in a fire at Home Farm.
She left with her son James in 1999 but could he return too?
The soap has hinted at Kim's return with a picture of a blonde woman in a mask being teased on social media.
And now fans are delighted at the news.
One wrote: "They have announced it accidentally then. Itv announcer just mentioned it."
A second added: "I think ITV just gave it away.....just heard who’s on Lorraine tomorrow and why lol"
Another said: "The itv voiceover announcing Kim Tate's return at 6pm tonight haha #emmerdale
"Better start preparing your surprised faces for emmerdale's big shock announcement later."
