Strictly Come Dancing fans angry after Katie Piper was ‘under-marked’ in row over scores

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans were left fuming last night as they believed Katie Piper was “under-marked” by the judges.

The campaigner and television presenter waltzed with Gorka Marquez to Adele's When We Were Young, but failed to wow the judges, landing just 17 points and came second bottom of the leader board.

Fans thinks Katie Piper and Gorka should have got a higher score

Bruno Tonioli gave her the highest score out of the judges – a five – while Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Shirley Ballas all gave her a four.

Those watching at home thought she should have scored higher and took to Twitter to discuss it.

One person wrote: “Very harsh score for Katie especially from Darcey & Bruno. #Strictly.”

A second commented: “Strictly  #KatiePiper and #GorkaMarquez  were totally undermarked @bbcstrictly.”

While a third added: “Overall well done @bbcstrictly great 1st show but what we're the #strictly judges watching?  @KatiePiper_  & @StaceyDooley seriously under scored. Well done @CraigRevHorwood for susannah's 1 though.”

Katie received mixed comments from the judges after she appeared to let the nerves get the better of her.

Bruno told her: "You did it my darling, you did all the steps, you got to the end and it looked good.

"And then you went horribly wrong half way through but you managed to get back into it."
