Danny Dyer seen as a 16-year-old boy in first acting job sporting roughed up face in 1993 Prime Suspect episode with Helen Mirren
DANNY Dyer has enjoyed a long career in TV and film, and today fans got a real treat when a video from his first ever acting job aged 16 resurfaced.
The EastEnders hardman, 41, actually kicked off his career in a 1993 episode of Prime Suspect alongside Helen Mirren.
In the short clip a sullen teenage Danny can be seen with a roughed up face and long greasy black hair.
He is seen playing teen tearaway Martin Fletcher, who is being interrogated by Oscar winner Helen's DCI Jane Tennison.
As Martin goads DCI Tennison about his knowledge on a gruesome murder, he says to her: "Sell me life story to the newspapers?"
She then responds: "You listen to me Martin, you think you can play games with us, lie to us, and you think this is all a joke, well it's not..."
Prime Suspect was the actor's first gig, and after proving his talent, he has since enjoyed a long carreer in both TV and film.
Other telly jobs have included roles in Cadfael, A Touch of Frost, Loved Up, Thief Takers, Soldier Soldier, Casualty, Hollyoaks Later and Skins – as well as enjoying a hugely successful film career.
Some of his most memorable projects include the films The Football Factory, The Business and Doghouse.
Nowadays though, he's best-known for playing Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter in EastEnders.
Meanwhile, last week Danny added fuel to the fire that he is doing a reality show with his daughter Dani and her boyfriend Jack Fincham.
Rumours swirled that the soap actor and his Love Island star offspring were being eyed for a Dyer family series.
During an interview with Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold he confirmed they were in talks about the show, he said: "We're going to go and have some meetings about it and we're going to see how we feel about it.
"It could be brilliant, or it could be a car crash. We're not just selling our souls to the devil, do you know what I mean?
"We're going to do (something) credible."
