STRICTLY’S Karen Clifton revealed she has therapy to cope with the breakdown of her marriage.
The couple announced they had split earlier this year after three years of marriage but have remained good friends.
She told the : “I’ve taken a big hit.
“I had to realise that I’m 36 years old. I’m not a kid and it has taken me a lot of therapy and life coaching to get through this.
“I have found it really difficult.”
The dancing beauty revealed how the pair fought to save their marriage adding: “We thought our relationship was going to be the best thing. It turns out that it wasn’t.”
Karen says she now has therapy twice a month, and hypnotherapy to treat anxiety.
And she wants to inspire other people going through similar trauma.
Last night, fans were moved to tears after watching Kevin and Karen dancing together during the live show.
As their co-stars danced to Elton John’s Your Song on the studio floor, Kevin and Karen danced together on the elevated stage.
They beamed as they held onto one another and looked more than happy to be working alongside one another.
One fan tweeted: “Kevin and Karen dancing to that beautiful song made me quite teary and emotional #Strictly.”
Karen says she regularly Facetimes Strictly co-star Camilla Dallerup, who herself divorced dancer Brendan Cole after rumours of an affair with his dancing partner Natasha Kaplinsky.
She also said the intense Strictly workload affected their relationship.
Karen said: “Because of work you don’t address the problems. It’s very hard to pay attention to your relationship when you’re paying so much attention to work.

“Then, it just snapped out of nowhere and we realised that the love we had for one another had gone. It was such a sad day.”
Yesterday the pair hit back at rumours they were warring behind the scenes of the hit BBC dancing show.
A representative told The Sun Online the claims were “untrue” after insiders said their relationship had turned “toxic”.
