X Factor wannabe Louise Setara reveals late ex-husband killed in drink-driving accident is ‘watching over her’ as she impresses judges on this weekend’s show

X FACTOR hopeful Louise Setara breaks viewers' hearts by revealing her late former husband is watching over her during her audition this weekend.

The budding singer lost her ex-husband William Gaskin in a drink-driving accident last year, and expresses her hopes the ITV series will "change her life" as a single mother.

William was killed by a drink driver while riding his pony and trap in Burlesdon, near Southampton, on March 26 last year.

Speaking ahead of her audition, an emotional Louise reveals the loss has made her realise how short life is, and has inspired her to try to better life for her children.

She says: "The tragedy we went through was a big old push for me to get up and finally try to achieve the dream I've been so hoping for all of these years.

"He was always very supportive. Whenever we went to a party he'd always get me to sing. I can imagine if he was able to look over us he would be proud.

"Him passing away really made me feel you've got to grab life with two hands and run with it."

She goes on to admit his death has been incredibly difficult to deal with, as she not only lost her ex-husband (the pair divorced before his death), but her eight and nine-year-old sons William and Isaac lost their father.

Discussing how she's been dealing with her grief, she continues: "I just feel like life just goes on and you've just got to pick up the pieces and keep ploughing forward.

"That's what being a single mum's about.

"You can't give up because if you do there's no one else to pick up those pieces for you. You've got to be a warrior, you've got to be a champion."

Before adding: "I needed to make a change in my life. I remember seeing Tracey Leanne on it last year.

"She was a single mum and an inspiration, so I thought I may give this a go myself."

Louise proceeds to wow the judges with a heartfelt rendition of her original song A Moment Of Your Time, written in William's memory.

Gaskin had been driving a pony and trap when Oliver Wareham, 29, drove into the back of him after a night at the pub together.

He had been travelling at 69mph on the 40mph limit road, killing both Gaskin and the horse at the scene.

Wareham pleaded guilty to driving without care and attention in February. He was jailed four years and four months, and banned from the road for five years.
