Who is Shin Lim?
Shin Lim, 26, is a Canadian born magician who specialises in nifty card tricks.
He started out by watching Youtube videos and soon perfected his act, performing all around the world.
Shin trained as a pianist at Lee University School Of Music, Tennessee but was forced to drop out after being diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome aged 20.
He chose magic over his music career and in 2015 he won the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques World Championship for close-up card magic.
When did Shin Lim win America's Got Talent?
Shin Lim won the America's Got Talent final on Wednesday September 19, 2018.
He beat the competition of acrobatic dance group Zurkaroh who came second and violinist Brian King Joseph who finished third.
14-year-old Courtney Hadwin, a singer from County Durham, reached the final but didn't make the top five.
Shin wins $1 million and will go on to perform in LA for the America's Got Talent finalists show.
Is Shin Lim married?
Shin Lim is currently engaged to dancer Casey Thomas, 23.
She was born in Australia but lives in the US.
Shin Proposed to Casey on August 20, 2017.
She said "Yes"" in front of over 2000 people during a magic show at the House of Magic in Macau.
