Hollyoaks Ashley Taylor Dawson reveals he predicted to Ryan Thomas that Celebrity Big Brother would ‘ruin his life’ two days before he went into the house
The Hollyoaks actor has also said he's 'proud' of his pal and that Ryan acted like a 'true gentleman'.
ASHLEY Taylor Dawson has said he warned pal Ryan Thomas that going on Celebrity Big Brother would 'ruin his life' just days before he entered the infamous house.
The Hollyoaks actor said he joked to the 34-year-old: "You will wake up one morning and your life will be ruined... It's true, mate. You just wait!"
"I was obviously having a joke about it.
"Never did we think that what happened could happen.
"All I'd like to say on it is that Ryan is genuinely that guy that you've seen there."
Ashley, 36, added: "He's such a loving, caring gentleman."
Ryan won the last series of CBB after fellow contestant Roxanne Pallett accused him of assaulting her in the house.
She claimed Ryan struck her "like a punch bag" and she said she was afraid to sleep in the same room as him.
However after he denied the allegations and the footage was shown back to people Roxanne, 34, admitted she was wrong.
The fallout has made her "the most hated woman in Britain", she said.
Ashley and Ryan are friends from both being on the soap circuit - Ryan used to star in Coronation Street.
Ashley went on to say to Digital Spy that Ryan dealt with Roxanne's accusations and subsequent apology was "above and beyond what most people would ever do".
He added: "I think he's an inspiration for a lot of young gentlemen out there.
"That's how you deal with things. It's all about love and truth.
"I think he proved that. It's nice that he's been seen as he is, and I'm so happy it turned out how it did.
"I'm proud of the guy. Fair play to him."
