Paul O’Grady squared up to homophobic thug hurling abuse at his husband on BA flight from Thailand
PAUL O’Grady squared up to a homophobic thug who hurled abuse at him and his husband on a flight.
The TV star warned the other passenger he could knock his teeth out.
Former Lily Savage drag act star Paul said his partner Andre Portasio was branded a “f***ing queer”.
The unnamed man also taunted Andre by saying: “Do you want to suck my c***?”
Merseysider Paul, 63, said: “I stood up and said, ‘You’re lucky we’re not in the street, mate, because you’d be eating your dinner through a straw.’
“He didn’t know I was sitting next to Andre. Then the bonehead was saying something about me thinking I could do whatever I wanted because I was famous.
“He claimed Andre had been looking at him, which was ridiculous. I mean, he was this typical English yob with a beard and a beer belly.”
Paul and ballet dancer Andre, 37, were on the BA flight from Bangkok to London on Sunday after a holiday. The Blind Date host, who was in business class, said cabin crew ejected the man from the posh seats.

He added: “It was only afterwards I thought they should have turned that flight around and had him arrested by Thai police. It could easily have turned nasty up there.”
The passenger was nicked at Heathrow but the pair declined to press charges to avoid others being delayed by providing statements so cops cautioned and released him.
