Who is Konnie Huq?
Konnie was born in West London on 17 July 1975.
The 46-year-old's muslim Bangladeshi parents emigrated to England in the sixties and the star studied Economics at the University of Cambridge as her family encouraged her to take on traditional jobs such as doctor, lawyer or scientist.
Konnie admits she broke away from her family's traditional expectations to pursue a career in entertainment.
What is Konnie known for?
The presenter holds the record for the longest-running female host of Blue Peter from 1997 until 2008.
Since her Blue Peter days, the presenter has worked on various television series and radio programmes including The Xtra Factor, King of Nerds and The One Show.
She has interviewed various authors like Anthony Horowitz and Carlo Rovelli on The Penguin Podcast.
In 2017 she also stood in for Richard Arnold to present the celebrity segment on Good Morning Britain, which received a lot of criticism from viewers.
She made her presenting debut on GMTV and worked on quiz show Eat Your Words from 1994-1996.
She's since taken a step back from TV presenting.
Last year she took her first step into children's literature as writer and illustrator.
Her book, Cookie and the Most Annoying Boy in the World, highlights the importance of learning through the adventures of a young Bangladeshi girl named Cookie Haque.

Konnie is married to English screenwriter, author, and critic Charlie Brooker.
The pair were friends for years before their relationship became romantic, with Konnie admitting that: "If you'd said to me: 'You're going to marry Charlie,' I'd have said 'Yeah, whatever - he's not my type.'"
They tied the knot in 2010 at Las Vegas' Little White Wedding Chapel after dating for nine months.
