JOHNNY Vegas has revealed he's lost three stone by cutting out bread and cheese after vowing to get healthy following his dad's death.
He decided to undergo a lifestyle makeover so he could be around for his kids.
The funnyman, 48, was left devastated after his father Laurence Pennington passed away in March, 2017 after a battle with cancer.
Afterwards, Johnny - who is dad to two sons - vowed to change his ways and get fit.
It took 15 months to lose three stone by cutting out "all the things I love" and he's now determined to complete the health kick by quitting smoking.
During his appearance on This Morning today, he explained: "I just want to be a good parent and be there for my kids.
"My big thing is my smoking. I want to stop. Last time I stopped I piled weight on so I need to get right enough to exercise.
"I've lost weight, it's took 15 months of walking past bread and cheese and everything I love."
However, the star - who weighed 18 stone at his heaviest - says he's planning to treat himself to a cheeseboard at Christmas.
He also admits he "fell off the wagon" during a recent holiday as he tucked into chips topped with cheese, bacon and barbecue sauce.
