Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland tie the knot to become first Love Island couple to get married
The pair wed at the Georgian stately home Gosfield Hall, Essex, where they were joined by family and friends
ALEX Bowen and Olivia Buckland became the first Love Islanders to wed as they married at a stunning stately home.
The hot couple were joined on Saturday by their family and friends at Gosfield Hall, Essex, for a lavish ceremony.
They kept their big day a secret, although there were hints that it was imminent on Olivia's Instagram page this week.
On Friday she wrote: "Last minute errands yesterday, bridal tribe getting spoiled 🙊 ."
She also delivered a huge bouquet of flowers as a thank you to her mum, who she also called her wedding planner.
Their Georgian venue boasts 10acres of grounds complete with a mile-long lake and fine touches such as crystal chandeliers and hand painted ceilings.
Last month Olivia revealed she'd dumped her Love Island co-star Cara De La Hoyde as a bridesmaid.
Love Island 2016 winner Cara was set to play a major role in the blonde beauty's big day.
She asked new mum Cara to be by her side - but has retracted the offer after Cara agreed she was taking too much on.
Writing in her column for Olivia told readers: "Cara’s got baby Freddie now and when I asked her she was a lot less busy and I thought she could handle the pressure.
"But we spoke about it and she's so busy with Freddie and she’s got so much on her plate that I felt like it was pressuring her."
She went on: "I said, 'I don’t need you to be my bridesmaid, you’re coming to the wedding regardless and if it’s easier on both of us with all the commitment, how do you feel about just coming to the wedding as a guest?'
"And she was really happy about it and said it was nice to hear that I thought about it like that."
Love's Island 2016 star Tina Stinnes was a bridesmaid along with Olivia's childhood friends.
However, Olivia denied she's argued with Cara and said: "We both don’t need that label.
"You don’t have to be a bridesmaid to know that we are good friends.
"We're very honest with each other."
