LOVE Island couple Laura Anderson and Paul Knops have split – just two months after coming second in the competition.
The pair have decided to go their separate ways after failing to spend enough quality time together since leaving the villa.
A source close to the couple said: “Laura and Paul have been so busy since the show finished and both had holidays planned without each other – so have ended up spending a lot of time apart.
“Paul went to New York for modelling work and on to Burning Man while Laura enjoyed some time back in Dubai where she lived before signing up to Love Island.
“They saw each other on Saturday night but only for a personal appearance and things weren’t the same between them so they have decided to cool off their romance.
“Neither of them will be ready to speak about their split in public just yet but they may well do later this week once it has sunk in.”
Laura and Paul were pictured having a furious row last month following a night out at The Cuckoo Club in London's Mayfair.
They claimed the argument was nothing more than a "bicker" – but insiders say the couple would often disagree with each other on nights out.
During the last few months Laura and Paul appear to have only seen each other for red carpet and TV appearances.
In August they attended The Festival premiere alongside co-stars Laura Crane and Jack Fowler and prior to that they joined Eamonn and Ruth on the This Morning sofa.
They reunited for a PA together in Huddersfield on Saturday but before then hadn’t seen each other for a number of weeks.
Laura moved into a new apartment last weekend on her own while other couples from her series such as Georgia Steel and Sam Bird are already living together.
