ROXANNE Pallett has been mocked by Celebrity Island viewers for claiming she had trench foot after just one night in the wilderness.
The actress, 35, showed off her suffering feet to co-star Eric Roberts who was barely able to look at them.
Speaking to camera, she said: "Everybody's feet and hands are like shrivelled little sausages that have turned white, which I believe is the start of trench foot."
Roxanne got sympathy from Eric, who told her: "Your poor feet, honey. This looks bad. I don' t like looking at that."
She replied: "As long as I don't get trench fairy."
Trench foot was particularly prevalent in WWI with more than 75,000 allied troops estimated to have died from the condition which is caused by the feet being cold and wet for a prolonged period of time.
Viewers weren't as sympathetic though, sceptical her feet were in as bad a condition as she claimed.
One wrote on Twitter: "@TheIsland So it seems @EricRoberts already sussed out Roxanne. Seems like the last 15mins was the Roxanne show instead of CelebIsland. Emmerdale couldn't of made up a acting plot like Roxy trenchfoot drowning and a fire all in a day #CelebrityIsland."
Another added: "Wishing Roxanne a speedy recovery after being diagnosed with trenchfoot #TheIsland #CelebrityIsland."
And someone else wrote: "Is there any situation where Roxanne isn’t unbearable to watch? Last week she was in a full body cast and now she’s got trenchfoot. #CelebrityIsland."
Roxanne was branded "seriously disturbed" and "a fake" as she QUIT the show after just one episode.
What is trench foot?
Trench foot was particularly prevalent in the First World War with more than 75,000 allied troops estimated to have died from the condition.
More common in cooler temperatures, the condition happens when feet are cold and wet for a prolonged period of time.
Symptoms include:
- Blisters
- Blotchy skin
- Redness
- Skin tissue that dies and falls off
- In worst case scenarios trench foot cuts off circulation to the feet and can lead to amputation or even death.
To treat the condition, dry feet thoroughly, elevate them and take Ibuprofen for the pain.
The former Emmerdale star, who filmed the Channel 4 series before her controversial stint on Celebrity Big Brother, also burst into tears and suffered a crippling panic attack in the hours leading up to her shock exit from the show.
Roxanne woke up in the middle of the night after smelling the smoke from the campfire and suffered a breakdown.
The footage, which aired last night, showed Roxanne shaking and crying uncontrollably as her co-stars, including Pete Wicks and Martin Kemp, tried to comfort her.
She managed to explain the smell of smoke was bringing back horrific memories of when she was trapped inside a house fire with her family.
She told her co-stars: “Smoke that nearly killed my family in a house fire when I was 16, the smoke, the smell is taking me back to that time.
“It feels like it’s happening again.”
The next morning, Roxanne told the others she was struggling to cope following the flashbacks she suffered in the night.
She explained: “The smoke reminded me of gasping for air thinking I was going to die.
“I want to last the whole way but it’s not the physical challenge, it’s the mental challenge.”

Talking to the cameras, Roxanne then decided to leave and begged the show’s producers to come and take her from the island - just five days after she arrived.
She says: “I’m really suffering and struggling with my thoughts.
“Please can you come and get me now. I cannot cope. Enough is enough.”
Viewers had also had enough of her, having already grown tired of her antics on CBB after accusing Ryan Thomas of punching her during her time in the house.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Roxanne Pallett is one seriously disturbed human #CelebrityIsland" while another tweeted: "What a shocker that Roxanne has quit after showing her acting skills again with crocodile tears...#majoreyeroll #CelebrityIsland".
A third agreed, writing: "So....Roxanne has done a runner again. Two lies, two exits. There's a pattern here. What a fake.#CelebrityIsland."
