Speaking to hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard, the millionaire descendent of King George IV – who owns 2,000 acre Maunsel House – said he wants a “lady of the house” who can “fly a helicopter”.

Ben asked about the £50,000 a year he was offering plus bonuses.

The guest replied: “Look you always give them pocket money and obviously you pay them a bit more with inflation.”

Kate suggested his search was a little like a “cattle market” as the businessman spoke about wanting an “heir and a spare” from a woman at least 5ft6 who won’t go off with the handyman “like the last one did”.
