Who is Eric Roberts?
Eric Anthony Roberts was born April 18, 1956, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to the parents of one-time actors and playwrights, who also ran a children's acting school in Decatur, Georgia.
Eric and his two younger sisters Julia and Lisa all went on to have careers in acting with Julia becoming one of the most successful actresses of all time in terms of box office receipts.
The 62-year-old had daughter Emma with his then-girlfriend Kelly Cunningham, and the 27-year-old has since become a Hollywood star in her own right.
Eric has since been married to Animal House and Doctor Who actress Eliza Roberts from 1992.
What has he starred in?
Eric received Golden Globe Award nominations for his early starring roles in 1978's King of the Gypsies and 1983's Star 80.
In 1985, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in for his role in Runaway Train and has amassed film credits of over 500 throughout his long career.
He starred as Gotham City Mafia crime boss Sal Maroni in 2008's The Dark Knight and then two years later as James Munroe in 2010's big-budget action flick The Expendables.
In 2014 through to 2015 Roberts played the recurring character Charles Forstman in the TV legal drama Suits and also portrayed Jimmy Figgis in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
