VICTORIA Beckham has moved to protect Brand Beckham by insisting that her husband David realises the couple are “stronger together”.
In a bizarre interview in Vogue magazine the Spice Girl will try to quell months of speculation about the state of their marriage.
Tellingly, David refused to be part of the family shot on the cover, which even features their dog Olive.
But he agreed to be included in one of the pictures inside the fashion bible, after persuasion from Victoria following social media speculation that she was going to announce her divorce.
Speaking about their marriage, Victoria, 44, claims the troubled couple are “pretty used to ignoring the nonsense and just carrying on as normal”.
In reference to her children — Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven — she says: “But these things have a wider effect on the people around us, and that’s unfair.”
Then the businesswoman curiously adds: “We both realise that we are stronger together than we are as individuals. Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago? It’s all about the family unit.
“We are much stronger the six of us, than we would be if we were individuals.
"We respect that family bond and that is key.”
Where are her words of love?
THIS is a surprisingly cold defence of a marriage that has long been strained, with one crucial word missing . . . LOVE!
Like the failed Remain campaign, Victoria talks of her and David being “stronger together”.
Brand Beckham is far too important to both of them to let their regular rows get in the way of a multi million-pound family empire.
But even with this elaborate Vogue shoot, the disagreements are clear for all to see.
David is concerned about how much his kids are put in the public eye by Victoria.
While he agreed to appear inside, he wouldn’t join the rest of his brood on the mag cover.

The Vogue feature — which also saw her dress up in a catsuit for a video poking fun at her Spice Girls past — was initially planned to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of her financially-troubled fashion label, which lost £8.4million last year.
But there was intense speculation about the feature after the Beckhams were forced to deny they were on the verge of splitting in June — a rumour that spread like wildfire on social media.
In the first family interview, Victoria will also reveal her daughter Harper has been wearing make-up and high heels at their home since she was a toddler.
She says: “She’s been able to run in Alaïa platforms since she was three.
“On one hand, she’s quite girly, but on the other hand she has three big brothers and likes to run around and play football. She’s not scared of being pushed over. She wants to be an inventor.”

It is a nod to her outfit for 1996 hit Say You’ll Be There.
Victoria also flashes a Girl Power V for Victory sign while in a dressing gown.
The star is covered in gold body paint in a further scene.
And she deadpans to camera: “We’re celebrating the rich and inspiring history of one of the most enduring style icons of all time... me.”
She also pretends to bicker with editor Edward Enninful.
Wearing an over-the-top gown, she says: “I’m a minimalist. Simple every time.”
