Celebrity Big Brother’s Roxanne Pallett’s apology in full after Ryan Thomas ‘punch’ claims
Former Emmerdale actress spoke at length about the allegations she made about Ryan on The Jeremy Vine Show today
ROXANNE Pallett issued a lengthy apology after accusing Ryan Thomas of “repeatedly punching her” in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The 35-year-old made the comments today during an appearance on The Jeremy Vine Show.
It was the first time Roxanne had appeared on screen after she walked out of the Channel 5 series.
Roxanne was sick after appearing on air and insiders told The Sun Online she hadn’t slept for days.
She talked at length with Jeremy in front of a live audience and explained why she made the allegations against 34-year-old Ryan.
Roxanne’s apology in full started: “At the time it hurt but when I looked back on that footage as soon as I left the house, it was the first thing I did was view that clip, and I got it wrong. I really got it wrong.
“After it happened I just felt like, I don’t know how to explain it other than my mind ran away with me. I am a sensitive person, only my family and friends can vow for that.
“Everything in that house becomes so heightened, a look a comment an action. Your insecurities are heightened, your sensitivity.
“The only thing I can explain it with is in the moment it felt worse than it was. I can’t prove or show a feeling. It was the word ‘deliberately’ I regret massively.
“I massively apologise to not just Ryan, to his family, his friends, his fans. Every single person who watched that and completely unjustifiably saw an overreaction to what wasn't a malicious act.

“In that moment, because I am a sensitive, and I was emotional, I mistook what has playful. And he did apologise for it and say his ring caught me.
“It was the word 'deliberate' I regret because I doubted his intentions. There was no malicious intention behind that. That is what I apologise for. I shouldn’t have questioned his motivation. I got it wrong.
“He couldn't disprove his intentions and I couldn't disprove the feeling.”
After leaving the house, Roxanne said she watched the scene back and thought again about what had happened.
She continued: “The first thing I did after leaving the house was watch the clip.
“My judgement was clouded. My sensitivity was heightened. I wasn't thinking straight. That's something I need to go back and think on to become a better person.
“I've actually been a victim of domestic violence years ago. I've spoken out about it. I've worked with Women's Aid because of my own experience.
“My reaction is a telltale sign of being in a situation like that. I would be mortified to feel even one person felt I discredited or undermined abuse.
“It felt foreign to me. In that moment my emotions and thought process was greater than the action. Looking back I massively overreacted. I got it wrong. I've had to take a massive step back. I don't blame anyone. If I was watching at home I would have been confused by my reaction.
“I realise I'm an animated person and dramatic. They're my characteristics. I need to look at and investigate to better myself.
“This is a serious subject. It's become something I need to focus on to not only rebuild my career but my personal life. This is something I need to focus on to not only rebuild my career but rebuild my personal life.
“This is something that has overshadowed everything. It's a serious issue to me. What I want to reassure everyone is I overreacted.
“I apologise massively to every single person I effected, everyone I disappointed, and that I doubted the intention behind the action."
“I chose to be here today. I was advised not to be here. I'm not getting paid. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
“It's effecting my family, friends, people that have detached themselves from me. This is my reality now. I'm here to acknowledge my mistake.”
When asked about the backlash from the public and twenty of her former Emmerdale co-stars, Roxanne said: “I think we all make friends and enemies along the way in life. Unfortunately when you make mistakes there’s a lot of people who want to contribute to the backlash.
“I think male or female there will always be a handful people that get unfairly discredited when the situation is not intentional.
“I’m heartbroken I've contributed to distress in Ryan. I hope Ryan can forgive me and people can forgive me in time.”
