Married at First Sight star has spoken exclusively to The Sun Online about how Roxanne ruined his chances in the house and says he never wants to see her again
BEN Jardine has slammed Roxanne Pallett as “cold and calculated” after she claimed Ryan Thomas “punched her repeatedly” in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
At the time, Ben sided with Roxanne and confronted Ryan after the pair formed a close friendship in the house, but now he’s watched the footage back the shocked reality star says he feels “disgusted” and “devastated” by her actions.
Today Roxanne, 35, apologised to Ryan and his family and said she “overreacted” in her first TV interview since quitting the show.
But in an exclusive interview with The Sun Online, Ben said her words don’t go far enough.
Ben explained: “What she showed and portrayed to me was disgraceful.
“Ryan is a genuine guy and I believe him all day long. I believed him when I hugged him in the pool and I looked into his eyes and saw what it did to him. I knew immediately that I'd been mugged off.
“I went through the mill with that Roxanne. I'm upset and devastated by everything.”
Ben and Roxanne were incredibly close in the house and formed a strong bond.
Their friendship caused waves in the outside world, with Silvia Sanchis, who's pregnant with the TV star's baby, insistent Ben was still dating her when he entered the house.
However Ben told The Sun Online he was single when he joined the show, so was happy to let his guard down as he grew close to the soap star.
But now he says he feels completely used by her and is questioning whether he knew her at all.
He added: “For someone to do that and hit on all your soft spots. That's cold and calculated.
“"Roxanne made a beeline for me. It was an instant connection. She was like my shadow. After what she's done, I'm broken hearted. I don’t want to see her again because of all this. But I want to know who the real Roxy is.”
Ben was booted from the house just one day after the incident between Roxanne and Ryan.
As Ben naturally sided with Roxanne, who he was closest to, he now believes this to be the reason his housemates voted him out.
During the eviction, Hardeep Singh Kholi was seen whispering in Ben’s ear as well as Nick Leeson.
Ben explained: “The public never voted me out. The housemates adored me, but they said they were protecting me.
“When I left Nick whispered in my ear and said 'I'm only protecting you, son'.
“They wanted to get me away from her.”
Since he left, Ben’s co-stars have admitted they have missed him as the “life and soul” of the house.
And Ben would love another chance at the show.
He said: “It cut short my experience. It's spiteful. If that hadn't happened I'd still be in there enjoying my experience.
“I'd love a second crack of the whip. I know if I went back in I'd walk back to open arms.”
