But in a teaser clip from tonight's instalment, the star is seen looking a little happier during the latest task.
Gabby Allen dresses as a poodle, Jermaine Pennant is a parrot, Nick Leeson is a tortoise, Dan Osborne a dog and Sally Morgan a cat in the task.
Kirstie Alley tells the housemates: "Studies have decided that households are happier with pets than without pets therefore Big Brother has decided it would be a good idea to introduce some pets into the Big Brother house.
"For this week's shopping task, five housemates will become pets.
"The other housemates will become their pet owners.
"The pets will not be allowed to speak when their pet owners are in the same room as them."
The resulting chaos involves Ryan feeding the sqauwking and barking housemates as Kirstie instructs Jermaine to "stop pooping outside the cage."
The latest task will come as a welcome relief to Ryan who last night said: “I have to make amends even if I don’t feel I have make amends. I’ll put myself back together again.
“This has broke me. If I have done something wrong. I am so sorry. I had no idea.
“I’m going to try and make it a happy household. I will not walk from this. I’m not a quitter.”
