A 90s legend has made it back to the music scene as an X Factor contestant.

Who is Janice Robinson?

Janice Robinson is an American singer from Garfield, New Jersey.

The 50-year-old is a mother to two daughters and made a name for herself in the '90s as the lead singer of Livin' Joy.

Their hit song Dreamer, which was released in 1995, charted at number 1 in the US Hot Dance Club Play Chart that year, as well as peaking at number 1 in the UK Singles Chart.

Janice later left the group in 1999 to build a solo career.

She released her debut album "The Color Within" in 1999 and toured America as Tina Turner's opening act in 2000.

That same year, she also sang on one of the famous drama series Charmed's episode.

Janice recently made headlines as a contestant on The X Factor.

24 years after scoring a number one hit, she decided to make a return and sang Dreamer to the judges.

When Robbie Williams realised who she was, he struggled to hold back his tears.

He confessed: "Your voice and your song has been a major part of my life. I'm about to cry and I don't want to."

Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson agreed, saying: "That was a banger, That was an absolute banger."

Janice made it through the Six Chair Challenge, and sand for Ayda at Judge's Houses where she impressed enough to get through to the live shows.
