TESS  Daly stole the show in a sparkling silver dress as she reunited with Claudia Winkleman for the Strictly Come Dancing launch event.

The telly presenters wowed the crowd as they gathered the contestants and professionals at the bash tonight.

Tess, 49, chose a stunning frock for the series launch as she re-teamed with Claudia to mark the start of Strictly season.

The hosts kicked off the event at the BBC's Old Broadcasting House in London as the new contestants got into their costumes for the first time.

There were sequins and feathers flying as stars including Vick Hope, Stacey Dooley, Lauren Steadman and Kate Silverton strutted down the stage.

Katie Piper wowed in a pink creation and Faye Tozer looked striking in yellow as she danced in with Charles Venn.

The judges were also there, reteaming Craig Revel-Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli.

The former ballerina looked fabulous in a long, pink gown while head judge Shirley wowed in a white glittery cape.

The professional dancers also hit the stage tonight, with Karen Clifton reteaming with her soon-to-be-ex husband Kevin to twirl about onstage.
