THE Great British Bake Off is back with a fresh batch of bakers looking to impress.
Among them is aspiring baker and full-time parent Dan. Here’s everything you need to know about the amateur baker…
Who is GBBO 2018’s Dan Beasley-Harling?
Dan Beasley-Harling, 36, is a full-time parent from London and one of the 12 contestants hoping to win the Great British Bake Off prize.
He has two young children but now that his youngest is set to start school he’s “ready to rejoin the world of adults.”
His biggest challenge in the tent is keeping to time constraints but he loved not having to wash up.
A self-confessed perfectionist, Dan considers aesthetics one of the top priorities for his bakes
Why did Dan apply to go on the Great British Bake Off?
Dan revealed his reasons for being on Bake Off were “entirely selfish”.
He said: “I have been at home looking after the kids for the last 6 years, so it was a chance to do something for myself.
“I bake in the little spare time that I have, and often work on bakes over the course of several days.
“I never work to strict time constraints like those in the tent, so that was a real challenge for me.”
