Katie Piper beams during day out with her kids during break from Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals
KATIE Piper looked in great spirits as she spent quality time with her children today.
The 34-year-old was enjoying some time off from her Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals and decided to go for a walk with Belle and Penelope.
Showing off her athletic figure, the star wore a pair of work out leggings and a sports top, while her blonde hair was pulled off her face.
She was seen running after her eldest daughter Belle, who was having fun on a scooter.
On Saturday night Katie treated herself to a night off and went to watch Britney Spears in concert.
She admitted she might have partied too hard but was really exciting for this evening, which will see and her fellow Strictly contestants dressing up in their costumes for the first time.
“Fair to say I feel pretty rough today and slightly regretful,” she told fans.
“So tomorrow I’m going to be getting properly Strictly-fied. I’ll be able to post here in my costume and show you all what I’m going to wear for the first show.”
Her fun-filled weekend comes after she broke her silence on the news her acid attacker is set to be released from jail.
She thanked fans for their support on Instagram, and revealed her upcoming role on Strictly Come Dancing has already acted as a "welcome distraction".
Stefan Sylvestre, 30, was jailed indefinitely in 2009 after he threw sulphuric acid at the TV presenter on the orders of her ex, leaving her blind in one eye aged just 24.
Last week, the Parole Board confirmed he will be free within weeks, having displayed "empathy for the victim" as well as "remorse and shame".
Katie told her followers: "Hi everyone, I felt it was important to put a message out to my friends, supporters and followers.
"This is a really difficult time for me. I am trying to come to terms with the decision and this is something I need to deal with."
She added: "Over the past 2 weeks Strictly has already given me such a welcome and positive distraction from my past.
"Whilst there is never a good time to hear this news, I am glad I have this new journey to concentrate on."
