STRICTLY Come Dancing's Kate Silverton has revealed her size nine feet require specially made dancing shoes.
The BBC newsreader was confirmed for the hit dancing show yesterday alongside comedian Sean Walsh.
But Kate, 48, fears her big feet are going to trip her up on the dance floor, just as they did on her wedding day to husband Mike Heron.
Speaking to the , Kate admitted her first dance didn't go according to plan.
She said: "I messed it up. My feet got in the way."
As for Strictly, she said: "I'm having to have special shoes made for me because Strictly didn't have any big enough.
"At 14, I was already a shoe size eight and, while my school friends delighted in wearing the latest styles, I was still in Clarks Classics or — horror of horrors — boys' shoes!"
While Kate has always had to deal with having larger than average feet, she isn't concerned about her figure and slipping into Strictly's skimpy costumes.
She added: "Earlier this week, I tried on a costume. It was very short, like wearing a swimsuit.
"When I put it on I thought: 'This is how I am. This is how I look. Embrace it.'
"I'm 48. I've had two children in my 40s. My body has actually served me really well."
Kate and Mike, who she married in 2010, welcomed daughter Clemency, six, after almost giving up hope of ever having children after five failed IVF attempts.
Two years later, the couple welcomed son Wilbur after conceiving naturally.

The star was previously asked to do Strictly in 2006 and again in 2009 in the middle of her IVF hell, but this year, the timing finally felt right.
She said: "Where I am right now, everything has come together."
Kate added her main aim is to have fun on the show, saying: "For as much serious news as there is out there, there is also the equivalent amount of fun and joy."
