Hayley, 36, had arrived on the red carpet in Leicester Square a few minutes before Emma and was busy signing autographs and posing for pictures.

But when 59-year-old Emma arrived and spotted Hayley, it seems she couldn’t resist getting in on the action.

Hayley burst out laughing when she realised it was Emma giving her a bear hug.

She looked chic in an oversized suit which had statement gold buttons on the front.

Her trademark, short hair was styled back over her hair and she styled the look with a pair of diamond earrings and some funky trainers.

Meanwhile Helen turned up the glamour in a long, leopard print dress which she wore with a pair of black sandals and a chic clutch bag.

The Children Act sees Helen take on the leading role as High Court judge Fiona May.

Based on Ian McEwan’s best-selling novel, fans will watch as Fiona struggles to balance her pressured job with her marriage to Jack, played by Stanley Tucci.

As her personal life turns to chaos, she is then asked to preside over a highly contentious case involving a young boy, Adam.

Adam is a young boy suffering from leukaemia and is refusing medical treatment on religious grounds.

Critics have praised Emma for her starring role as high court judge Fiona in the film, along with Fionn Whitehead, who plays a young man who has leukaemia

The fascinating tale sees Fiona stopping the court case to visit Adam in hospital, a decision that ultimately changes everything.

But as the tale progresses, Fiona must be the one to make the decision as to whether Adam should have to live, or die.

Early reviews show critics full of praise for Emma, and for Fionn Whitehead, who plays Jack.

The Children Act is out in UK cinemas on August 24.
