HELEN Mirren has a silver scream moment as she poses with a Cruella de Vil-style streak running through her hair.
The Hollywood star, 73, donned funky glasses and a bob to play eccentric granny Maxine Roots in an advert for L’Oreal Paris.
Helen, who was without her usual blonde hair, sprayed the grey area with the brand’s Magic Retouch product to restore brunette locks for the skit.
As one of the stars of the latest L’Oréal Paris adverts she looks completely unrecognisable with a stylish brown bob.
Fans of the screen icon may fail to recognise her in the new clip, where she plays an eccentric grandmother called Maxine Roots.
The skit, which promotes the brand’s Magic Retouch products, also stars Andie MacDowell and Jonathan Saxby.
While some of her fans would recognise her instantly, others might take a little longer to realise who the Oscar winning star is at the start of the video.
But after she opens her mouth, it would be tough not to realise who the actress – famed for her roles in The Queen and Calendar Girls – is.
For those of you who haven’t already guessed, the star of the advert is Dame Helen Mirren.
Helen will soon be back on screen in racy new TV drama Catherine the Great.
The mini-series will chart the incredible life of Catherine, who ruled Russia from 1762 until her death at 67 in 1796.
Makers HBO and Sky will detail her colourful love life throughout the series which could leave viewers blushing.
A source said: “It will be a tough call deciding what sexy antics to leave out. At the very least they’ll have to show how she bedded a long line of nubile younger men.
“But legend also had it that she would ask another woman to test drive them first to ensure they had the stamina to satisfy her.”
Helen plays the leading part in the drama, which is due to air later this year.
