Celebrity Big Brother ‘signs up Roxanne Pallett in £750k deal’ weeks after horror car crash
ACTRESS Roxanne Pallett has reportedly signed a £750,000 contract to appear in Celebrity Big Brother.
It's believed the ex Emmerdale star played hard to get after she hit the headlines recently following a traumatic car crash.
It's now claimed she will enter the house on Thursday, weeks after smashing into a wall at 40mph while racing her Minster FM radio show co-host Ben Fry at Hunmanby raceway, near Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
The 35-year-old lost consciousness for 30 seconds and spent two hours in the wreckage as firefighters cut her free.
A show insider told : “Bookers have wanted to sign Roxanne for a long time.
"They’ve finally got their way, but for a top-rate fee.”
Roxanne suffered concussion, severe bruising and two sprained wrists from the horror crash last month.
The actress feared she was going to die as she hurtled towards the concrete wall.
Speaking days later, Roxanne told Kate Garraway on Good Morning Britain: "It's something you never expect to happen to you.
"I'm so dosed up on painkillers even now and I'm numb and I'm glad I am.
"We were visiting a racing track, it was meant to be a fun afternoon.
"I just remember being excited and then realising very fast that the car was more powerful than me.
"And when I was revving to drive I didn't expect it to be so quick.
"I couldn't brake and couldn't turn it around the corner. I could see I was about to hit. And that was when I lost (it). I blacked out."
Now just weeks on from her recovery she has signed a pricey deal with Big Brother bosses to spend the rest of August in the house.
She will join the likes of ex-Corrie star Ryan Thomas, Love Island's Gabby Allen, ex-Towie star for Dan Osborne, Married At First Sight's Ben Jardine, Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves, Star Trek's Kirstie Alley and porn star Stormy Daniels.
Others rumoured to be taking part include Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Grant, former Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole and model Chloe Ayling.
Channel 5 bosses say the latest CBB series theme will be "eye of the storm" - with Rylan exclusively telling The Sun Online that it's a return to Big Brothers of the past.
