Who is Fan Bingbing?
Fan Binging is a Chinese model, actress, TV producer and pop singer.
She was born on September 16, 1981.
Fan first rose to fame in East Asia in 1998 when she starred in the TV series My Fair Princess.
She went on to star in some of the highest-grossing movies in Asia including Cell Phone, Lost in Beijing, Buddha Mountain, Double Xposure and I Am Not Madame Bovary.
She's also crossed over into foreign cinema - being cast in French film Stretch and Korean movie My Way.
But it was her role of Blink in X-Men: Days of Future Past that brought her into the Western mainstream.
In 2007 she formed her own studio - Fan Bingbing studio.
She's also a brand ambassador for international luxury houses Guerlain, De Beers and Montblanc.
Fan is currently engaged to actor Li Chen who proposed to her on September 16, 2017, at her birthday party.
Is Fan Bingbing missing?
In early August, Chinese social media users were whipped into a frenzy pondering her whereabouts after she had been inactive on popular Chinese site Weibo.
She hasn’t been seen in public since July 1, when she visited a children’s hospital.
The star, who has 62 million followers, was last active on Weibo on July 23.
In September 2018 she was given a 0% social responsibility rating by Chinese officials sparking rumours that she has been arrested for tax evasion.
But she reappeared on social media on 2 October to apologise for dodging tax after she was fined £98million.

Fan is worth a whopping $100million - around £77million.
Since 2006 she has placed in the top ten of Forbes' list of China's highest-paid stars.
And since 2013 she has topped the list, making her one of the most well-paid celebrities in the world.
