JAY Brown faces a dilemma in EastEnders this week when he’s duty bound to mention he’s on the sex offenders register to potential new housemate – and dare we say, love interest – Jessica.
But who is Jay and what do we know about the actor who plays him, Jamie Borthwick? Here’s all you need to know…
Who’s Jamie Borthwick?
Jamie was born on 23 June 1994 which makes him 24 years old. He was born in Barking, London.
He attended the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School in London which his EastEnders co-star Lacey Turner also went to.
In May 2008 Jamie won a British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress, which he dedicated to his grandmother who died two years before. Awww.
As well as being a a huge fan of West Ham football club, Jamie loves a bit of boxing.
He’s still really good friends with his former co-star Harry Reid who played Ben Mitchell and is a great support of Harry’s stage career since leaving ‘Enders. Jamie often shares pics of his mate on Instagram.
In 2018 Jamie became the 7th longest running member of the EastEnders cast having been in the BBC One soap since 2006.
