Jack Fincham vows to marry Dani Dyer — but won’t admit if they romped on their first night out of the villa

LOVE Island’s landslide winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham have vowed to continue their reality romance — with him declaring: “We’re getting married next year.”

The besotted couple, who declared their love for each other on the show, captured the nation’s hearts on TV, with millions viewing nightly as romance blossomed.

And unlike any previous winner of the ITV2 dating hit — famed for its outrageous romps — they won without having sex.

In their only newspaper interview after being crowned champions, the pair revealed it won’t be long before Jack, 26, goes down on one knee to propose.

He said last night: “We’re getting married next year, 100 per cent. Like my mum said to me so many times, ‘When you know about someone, you just know’.

“And now I know what she’s talking about. I just know that’s what we want to do.”

Jack and Dani were put to the test during the baby challengeDani, 21-year-old daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, added: “It ain’t about planning when we’re gonna have kids.

“It’s about enjoying a bit of time outside the villa now. And when we’re both ready, we will talk about it. Right now I’m just happy to be with him.”

Dani and pen salesman Jack smashed the telly contest bagging 79 per cent of the public vote in the final, ITV revealed.

And the couple are happy to keep their no-sex status until they are husband and wife — just like Dani’s beloved grandparents.

She said: “My nan and gramps didn’t have sex until they were married. I do not think sex keeps a relationship going.”

As they left Love Island’s Mallorcan villa on Monday after eight weeks of no contact with the outside world, the pair cheekily told host Caroline Flack they were going to consummate their relationship that evening.

But asked if they joined the Do Bits Society, which became the contestants’ term for getting intimate, Jack refused to be drawn.

With a cheeky glint in his eye, he said: “A gentleman never tells, mate. A gentleman never tells.”

Asked if a lady would tell instead, Dani replied: “No she doesn’t — that’s personal.”

Before marriage, the pair plan to carry on their summer of love, having spent nearly every waking minute of the last eight weeks in each other’s company.

They say they will spend next month house-hunting before going shopping for furniture.

Dani said: “We’re going to enjoy summer, enjoy each other, because then we’ll have to start looking for settees and that.”

Jack said: “It’s the only logical thing to do — we’ve lived together two months. If I lived separately it would be rubbish, so it’s the only thing I’d want to do now.”

But unlike previous winners, they don’t want to fall foul of spending too much time together — with Jack pledging to go back to his stationery sales job.

He said: “I want to have a place to go back to together, as long as we go back to each other at the end of the night and chill out. That’s all I wanted — that’s what I said early on. Do our normal days, go to work, do your thing and come home together.

“I love my job. If I ring an office now, they might want to come and speak to me!”

He added: “I want to bring out my own stationery range. Everyone brings out hats and things like that. Who doesn’t love stationery? You always need a pen.”

Hugely popular Jack and Dani were installed as the bookies’ favourites for the Love Island crown from the word go.

One person who certainly voted for them is a man most blokes would dread having as their father-in-law — 41-year-old Albert Square hardman Danny.

And Dani warned the actor operated a strict policy regarding her boyfriends.

She said: “He just doesn’t want to know. He knows what sort of boys I’ve spoken to so he’s like, ‘Dan, I don’t want to know. He ain’t allowed in here’.

“So I’m not allowed boys usually in the house.

They’re really strict on me.” But if Jack does slip up, he needn’t fear the TV tough guy — as Dani insists he’s a softie beneath the surface.

She said: “He’ll probably just have a chat with him. My dad ain’t like that. My dad’s a lover not a fighter, he’s a lover.”

But Jack may still need to win over Dani’s mum Jo, also 41, who told The Sun last week that the pair will be sleeping in separate beds when he comes to stay.

But Dani said: “She’s lying. We ain’t got a separate bed. We’ll have a blow-up bed ready in my bedroom. She’s winding him up.”

Jack was stunned in the villa as producers introduced his ex Ellie Jones into a rival house and sent Dani a video of his reaction.

The scenes led to more than 2,500 complaints, but Dani couldn’t understand the fuss.

She said: “Oh listen, they’ve got to make a TV show. If I weren’t crying the viewers would drop.

“Yeah it was hard, it was a test for me and Jack. But we got back together. We had the up, we had the down — and now we’re up.”

Dad's delight

DANI says her Love Island victory will have convinced her cynical dad that the show is not as bad as he thought.

EastEnders star Danny, 41, was won over by his daughter’s time on the show and watched her triumph while on holiday in Florida with wife Jo Mas, also 41. Dani said: “He loves it. He was so proud and that. He said to me ‘you were right, I was wrong’.”

Jack will be hoping he has also done enough to win over the actor after it was revealed he has a poster of Danny’s 2005 film The Business above his bed. Jack joked: “I think it’s gotta come down. It would be weird wouldn’t it?”

Finalists all feel the love

WINNERS Dani and Jack landed more than three-quarters of the vote as they helped Love Island set an ITV2 record.

The final was seen by an average of 3.6 million viewers and a peak audience of 4.1 million, making it the channel’s most watched programme yet. The series averaged 2.7 million viewers an episode.

But now the dust has settled, here are the winners’ verdicts on those they beat on a dramatic final night in the villa.

JACK: Sometimes it takes people a while to realise, ‘Actually, that’s not for me, this was for me’. I’m glad they are together.
