Coronation Street fans sob as Eva Price leaves Weatherfield for France with Adam Barlow in tow
THE former machinist's final words on the cobbles were an ode to Rihanna, telling lawyer Adam that they found love in a hopeless place
CORONATION Street fans have been left in tears after Eva Price left Weatherfield with Adam Barlow for a new life in France.
The new mum - who is played by actress Catherine Tyldesley in the ITV soap - slipped out unnoticed from the Rovers and got in a cab with her daughter Susie and boyfriend Adam after leaving a note for her sisters Leanne and Toyah Battersby.

"I wish there was an easier way to do this," she wrote.
"I wish so many things were different. Me and Susie need to start a new life, we need to leave the past behind us and try to move forward somewhere else.
"I'm destroying too many lives if I stay. I've hurt too many people. We need to be somewhere where no-one will know us, where we can start afresh.
"Please don't hate me, I love you both but I have to do this for my daughter."

But a bigger shock came when it was revealed that Adam Barlow was leaving with her.
He said: "Well I love Camembert, love red wine and you're not too bad either."
Eva's final line on the cobbles came in the form of an ode to Rihanna and she said: "We found love in a hopeless place, Rihanna.
"Beats Shakespeare any day. I love you Adam Barlow."
