LOVE Island fans were left cringing over as Dr Alex George attempted to chat up Alexandra Cane with a hilarious 999-themed role play.

Viewers couldn't stop laughing towards the end of tonight's episode when the doctor, 27, successfully rekindled his romance with the make-up artist, 27, with some medical chat up lines.

After a little encouragement from Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, the A&E worker decided he needed to win back the Hertfordshire beauty after he ditched her to try his luck with Laura Crane.

In this evening's show he was seen trying to do flirty role play with Alexandra, who he had pulled aide for a chat.

Pretending to be a stranger in a bar, he asked her: "Have you been waiting for a doctor?"

Laughing, she replied, "I've got a bruise on my leg", before Alex interjected, "I heard you've got a broken heart that need mending? I just wanted to come here and fix it."

Those watching at home then couldn't believe it when he leaned in for a kiss at the end of the awkwardly sweet segment.

It comes after their co-stars Jack Fowler and Laura Crane were seen kissing during a romantic picnic date on the beach earlier on in tonight's episode.

The footballer, 22, and pro surfer, 23, locked lips in their first outing outside the villa together since they became a couple.

Viewers saw Jack open up about his feelings for the newcomer in the Beach Hut.

He says: "I’m a little bit nervous if I’m honest with you going on this date.

"The reason for that is because it’s the first date I’ve really had with a girl in here that I care about.

"I’ve been on two previous dates, but this is the date that means the most to me.”
