A source said: “No one expected these two to leave and it is a massive shock.

The moment Georgia Steele and Sam Bird refuse to recouple and get dumped from Love Island

Their exit comes shortly after bosses refused to punish them for being intimate, despite the pair vowing to split up to stay in the villa.

Georgia and Sam passionately kissed in Wednesday night's episode just two days after deciding to end their romance in order to salvage their place in the competition.

Producers of the show confirmed they had no plans to discipline them for still cracking on – stating the only rule they have to obey is not pairing up at the next recoupling.

Georgia and Sam confused their fellow islanders by choosing to stay in the villa and go on dates with four new arrivals instead of leaving as a pair earlier this week.

The next recoupling will take place on Thursday night.
