Charlotte Crosby lands second series of The Charlotte Show after impressing MTV bosses
CHARLOTTE Crosby has landed a second series of her reality show after impressing MTV bosses with her first season.
The ex-Geordie Shore star, 28, who’s in a relationship with Josh Ritchie, is set to start filming for The Charlotte Show in the next few weeks.
A TV insider said: “Producers were surprised following the success of the first series and were keen to snap Charlotte up for a second.
“There were fears the show wouldn’t have the same appeal after Charlotte’s split from Stephen Bear but viewers were even more interested to see her romance with Josh.
“The second season will focus on Charlotte’s public and private life and her relationship, which includes seeing Josh move in with her and the pair talking about having a family together.
“Viewers will be able to watch the new series on MTV this autumn.”
Charlotte’s first series saw her break down in tears after ex-Gary Beadle announced the birth of his baby with Emma McVey.
The star deliberated over sending a tweet to congratulate Gary and with the help of her mum and close pals decided on the perfect message.
The news was difficult for Charlotte following her five-year on/off relationship with Gary and the struggles she endured after suffering an ectopic pregnancy.
She said at the time: “I suppose it’s never nice seeing an ex-boyfriend who you have such a history with moving onto that big stage in their life, that’s never nice.
"Never mind that I went through an ectopic pregnancy with him and it just kind of brought back memories of all those awful feelings that I had experienced around that time."
Charlotte added: "It was a big mixture of things really."
