Katie Price risks arrest after posing topless on the beach in Thailand with boyfriend Kris Boyson
KATIE Price’s topless beach antics in Thailand could land her in hot water with local authorities.
The glamour model, 40, was seen posing bra-free on the beach in Koh Samui as her new boyfriend, Kris Boyson, looked on – and seemed thoroughly impressed with what was on show.
However, what Katie maybe didn’t know – or didn’t pay any attention to – was the laws of the land.
Public nudity is frowned upon in Thailand, and it could see Katie banged up.
In January 2016, American Adrianna Martin, 20, and Austrian Camille Prymann, 25, were arrested in Phuket, when they were driving their car while topless in the notorious red light district of Patong, Phuket.
A 48-second video was recorded of their wild behaviour and uploaded to Facebook, which was seen by police, who arrested the pair.
In 2014, Phuket Governor Maitree Intrusud issued a warning to foreign tourists that they shouldn’t parade around with no top on – even men – after complaints from local residents.
He said: “Tourists should wear shirts. Away from the beach, it’s impolite to go without your top covered up.
“Besides, it’s actually against the law and police can arrest and fine transgressors. It’s best to remember: “When in Rome, do what the Romans do.”
According to section 388, of Thai law if you don’t get arrested, “Any person who performs such a disgraceful act in public by undressing himself, exhibiting his undressed person or committing any other act of obscenity shall be liable to a fine not exceeding five hundred baht.”
Five hundred baht is worth roughly £11 – something Katie should easily be able to afford.
However, she probably doesn’t want to land too many fines after it was revealed she’s selling her farmyard animals in a desperate bid to sort out her finances.
A source said: “Katie hasn’t had the easiest time of late, and isn’t as flush as she was.
“She told Keiran to get rid of the animals but he’s been struggling to offload the llamas for £2,000 a pop.
“He’s selling her prize horses for £7,000 to an equestrian centre near her West Sussex home.
“And she has been touting the guinea pigs, goats and rabbits to friends and family.
“Pete put his foot down about the cats and hedgehog because they belong to his kids, Princess and Junior.”
Reports last year claimed the Loose Women star, once worth £45million, faces bankruptcy.
She was said to spend over £10,000 a month upkeep on the family home. Two of her firms banked less than £100,000 combined.
