Olivia Colman appears as the Queen in teaser for new series of The Crown
FANS of The Crown have been given their first look at Olivia Colman as the Queen.
The actress has been seen on set for the first time since she replaced Claire Foy in the lead role.
Olivia, 44, is playing the monarch in series three of the hit Neflix drama, taking over from the show's previous star Claire, 34.
Programme-makers have now shared the first snap of Olivia as the Queen after they started filming the new episodes this month.
Olivia previous told that Claire is "f****** amazing and it's a very hard act to follow."
She added: "We [me and husband Ed] are completely obsessed with The Crown anyway but whenever Claire Foy comes on he goes, 'Oh, she's amazing.’
"Watching the first series was blissful because I had no idea.
"With the second series I now know I've got to follow in her footsteps.”
All of the main characters are being replaced as they royal drama moves through time and shows the characters as they get older.
The role of Prince Phillip, played by Matt Smith in series one and two, will be taken over by Tobias Menzies in the next season.

Helena Bonham Carter will play Princess Margaret, previously portrayed by Vanessa Kirby.
The princess' husband Lord Snowdon was played by Downton Abbey actor Matthew Goode, but Ben Daniels is stepping in for series three.
The show is expected to return to Netflix in 2019.
