Here's everything you need to know about Goddess of Pop Cher's role in the film, and what songs the singer will be performing...
Is Cher in the Mamma Mia 2 cast and who does she play?
Pop star Cher was the last member of the cast to join Mamma Mia 2 when it was revealed in late 2017 that she would be on-screen for the first time in over seven years.
Cher, 72, plays Sophie's previously unseen grandmother Ruby Sheridan, Meryl Streep's reluctant and mean mother.
She debuted in the franchise's trailer, where she made a dramatic entrance by gatecrashing her granddaughter's party.
“I was terrified when I first arrived on set,” Cher told her co-stars. “partly because everyone had been working together already, and partly because my character wasn’t very liked.”
What ABBA songs does she perform?
With international hit-singles including Believe and If I Could Turn Back Time under her belt, fans were excited to hear what ABBA songs Cher would be singing.
As well as the usual classics that ABBA fans can expect to hear, the first Cher song that the singer performs will be a duet with Andy Garcia of the slightly more obscure Fernando.
Cher also lends her voice to an ensemble rendition of Super Trouper near the end of the film.
She will be joined by most of the cast for that song, including Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Dominic Cooper, and Lily James.
