Katie Price signs up to edit BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour
KATIE Price will be editing an upcoming episode of BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.
The 40-year-old has been asked to take the helm on the high-brow radio show, following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and JK Rowling.
The former glamour model is expected to look at making online abuse a criminal offence and the lack of wheelchair-friendly rides in theme parks during her time editing the programme.
Speaking about taking part, the controversial mum-of-five said: “I would like to create awareness for people who can relate to my topics.”
“If it helps just one person out there to know they are not alone or address issues which can make small changes to people’s lives then I have done my job.”
Katie has plenty of experience talking about online abuse and has been campaigning to create Harvey’s Law in parliament following social media attacks on her disabled 16-year-old son.
Harvey is partially blind, autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome and has been the victim of copious vile abuse.
The star, who is currently on holiday in Thailand with new boyfriend Kris Boyson, is just one of the guest editors coming up.
Singer Charlotte Church, Arianna Huffington, Lady Helena Kennedy QC and the Queen’s chaplain Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin will all be getting a slot.
Charlotte, 31, is planning to discuss education during her stint.

“My edition of Woman’s Hour will look at what a school could look like if we focused on what children need and put creativity at the heart of all learning and teaching,” she said.
“My children are fast approaching secondary school age, and in my opinion the current school system is not fit for purpose. I want to ask what effect it’s having on our young adults as well as what we can do to change it.”
Woman’s Hour takeover week starts on Monday 16 July.
