Sean Mahon is an actor from Dublin, Ireland.
He started his career in marketing for various companies including Kerrygold and Avonmore.
After moving to the US for work he decided to pursue acting.
His big break came when he got the role of Nicky Giblin in the Broadway production The Seafarer.
Who does Sean Mahon play in EastEnders?
Sean Mahon is playing Ray Kelly - the ex-husband of Mel Owen, played by Tamzin Outhwaite.
The character arrives with the aim of getting in touch with his stepdad putting a spanner in the works for Mel and Jack.
The sinister businessman turned on the charm when he immediately bumped into Mel’s current boyfriend Jack Branning in his first scenes.
Speaking about his role, Sean told : "I'm so happy to join such an incredibly hard-working and talented team...
"My character Ray Kelly is not one to tread lightly, and his arrival to the Square will cause shockwaves for many of the residents… it doesn't get much better than that."

Sean Mahon starred in the Broadway production of The 39 Steps.
He also played the long-lost son Michael Hess in the 2013 film Philomena alongside Steve Coogan and Judi Dench.
