When is Children In Need 2018?

Children in Need 2018 will be broadcast on Friday, November 16, 2018, across BBC One and BBC Two.

Coverage starts with a One Show special at 7pm focusing on the conclusion of the Rickshaw Challenge.

After that the main show continues on BBC One from 7.30pm to 10pm - before moving to BBC Two from 10pm-10.40pm.

And then it is back to BBC One from 10.40pm until the early hours.

The annual telethon happens every November.

Since it launched in 1980, Children In Need has raised a massive £950million.

Who's presenting Children In Need 2018?

Children In Need 2018 will be presented by Rob Beckett, Ade Depitan, Mel Giedroyc, Graham Norton, Tess Daly, Marvin Humes and Rochelle Humes. 

This is comedian Rob's first time hosting the show - he will replace Matt Edmondson who was a presenter in 2017.

Rob said:  “I am so excited to be presenting BBC Children in Need this year. It’s a British institution and a wonderful charity, so to be asked to help out is a huge honour.

"My parents are gonna be bursting with pride. I also get to meet Pudsey! I can’t wait!”

What is the BBC's Children in Need 2018 campaign and which celebrities are taking part?

On October 4, 2018, the BBC officially launched this year's charity campaign Do Your Thing with Ore OdubaTess Daly, Rochelle Humes and Mollie King.

The campaign is challenging people across the country to have rambles, races, dance-a-thons, or whatever types of competitions they enjoy to help Children in Need.

On top of the telethon and the Do Your Thing campaign, Children in Need Rocks returns on November 7 at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

Stars expected include Rod Stewart, George Ezra, Jess Glynne, Olly Murs and Rita Ora. To purchase tickets, .

 

What is the Sir Terry Wogan Fundraiser of the Year Award?

The Sir Terry Wogan Fundraiser of the Year Award was launched in 2016 in honour of the late Sir Terry Wogan - who presented the programme for 35 years.

It is awarded to those who go above and beyond to raise money.

The most creative and committed fundraisers are nominated for the shortlist.

And the winner is announced in a pre-recorded presentation ceremony that features on the BBC Children In Need Appeal Show.
