Loose Women’s Katie Price announces acoustic guitar charity album
MAYBE one day we’ll mention KATIE PRICE in the same breath as BOB DYLAN or JOHNNY CASH.
The Loose Woman is aiming to join the ranks of guitar luminaries by releasing an acoustic album.
In an interview with Juice Retreats guru Jason Vale, she said she plans to hit the studio next summer.
She said: “I’m going to bring out another album, purely to make money for the British Lung Foundation, and want to do acoustic versions.”
Katie has even called on ED SHEERAN to collaborate, adding: “Ed, come on!”
It will be her first album since debut A Whole New World flopped in 2006. Critics reckoned the link-up with ex PETER ANDRE lacked inspiration. Her endless relationship woes since then would make for brilliant ballads. But pressure is on for the album to do well and boost Katie’s profile as yesterday it emerged estranged hubby Kieran Hayler is after a share of her fortune in their divorce settlement.
Katie, now with toyboy Kris Boyson, launched her singing career in 2005, when the public wisely swatted away her bid to represent them in Eurovision.
After releasing flop single Free To Love Again five years later, the mum-of- five tried to relight her chart career last year by performing single I Got U on Loose Women.
Panellist Katie later admitted her manager had warned her off the idea. She said: “Nobody’s interested, no one’s backing me. My manager wasn’t interested. He said, ‘You’re wasting your time.’”
She should have taken the hint.
Dani's mum cries foul at vid
LOVE Island bosses will think twice the next time they try to mess with Dani Dyer.
Her mum Jo Mas has revealed she was the first to unleash her fury at producers and threatened to haul her daughter out of the villa after hearing Dani had been reduced to tears on Sunday night’s episode.
Jo, who was in Majorca with husband DANNY DYER at the time, said: “They said, ‘Oh no, she’s fine’ and I said, ‘Listen, I will jump the wall and put her in my rucksack, let her peep out like a little turtle, and take her home.’ They were like, ‘She’s fine.’
“I never saw it as I was on holiday, so when everyone was ringing me up saying, ‘Dani’s crying’ I was literally on the sun lounger going, ‘What is she crying for?’ ”
The most controversial moment of this year’s series saw Dani, left, break down when shown a misleading video of boyfriend Jack being reunited with an ex-lover.
It triggered more than 2,500 complaints to Ofcom from viewers who accused show bosses of cruelty.
But Jo, inset left with Danny, admitted she and her husband were still fans of the ITV2 show – and that Jack had Danny’s approval.
Speaking on yesterday’s This Morning, she said: “She made the right connection.
“The first time I saw Jack on the telly, I was thinking he is Dani’s type – funny and warm.
“Danny really likes Jack but when he does meet Jack he will probably cry, ‘You’ve took my child away from me’. He’s really possessive.”
Raye's 1Da-ful USA call-up
POP star RAYE has taken her talent stateside.
After penning hits for CHARLI XCX and LITTLE MIX, she’s now rubbing shoulders with KANYE WEST, teaming up with his producer Boi 1da.
A source said: “Raye’s been busy out in LA recently and even got to hang out with the KARDASHIANS at their Independence Day party this week. Boi 1da is an amazing producer and has worked with huge artists such as RIHANNA, EMINEM and the biggest star in the world right now, DRAKE.
“He sees something special in Raye and wants her to make it big across the pond, so has been introducing her to loads of top names.” Raye, left, who is carving out her own solo career after boosting other artists, has already had hits with You Don’t Know Me and Decline.
Now she is set to conquer the charts again with her new track Friends, out today.
If she can upgrade from Kanye to Drake I don’t think she will have any issues banking a chart-topper.
Liam's split 'blame'
NICOLA ROBERTS clearly has her pal CHERYL’s back.
The GIRLS ALOUD bandmate, hinted LIAM PAYNE may be to blame for their recent split.
Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women yesterday, Nicola said: “There have been a couple of articles like ‘Oh, why can’t she hold a man down’ and stuff like that and it’s just like, why can’t a man hold her down?”
Nicola also revealed she’s been helping Cheryl pull her new record together “for the last six months”.
With Nic on board it sounds like that could be packed with feisty break-up bangers rather than soppy ballads.
Kim heeds a wake-up call
IF KIM KARDASHIAN has learnt anything this week it’s to stick to what she’s good at.
The reality star had a go at wakeboarding for the first time as she celebrated American Independence Day by a lake with her kids – but struggled to stay upright.
She admitted: “This is way harder than it looks” before doing what she does best – striking a selfie pose in a skimpy bikini.
She was probably more frightened of messing up her make-up than she was of falling in the water.
