Danny Dyer jokes he’s heading to the Love Island villa after calling daughter Dani’s new boyfriend Jack his ‘future son in law’
DANNY Dyer has joked he's on his way to the Love Island villa to meet daughter Dani's new boyfriend Jack Fincham.
The EastEnders star, 40, also called Jack his "future son in law" and offered to sign the poster of him it was revealed hangs on his bedroom wall.
Taking to Twitter the actor confirmed he was heading to Majorca and ready to enter the villa.
He wrote: "I’ve only gone and made the shortlist for the TV choice awards.
"If you fancy it whack a vote my way.....right...I’m off to the villa...to sign my future son in laws canvas....lovely."
It had previously been thought Danny would have to skip the show's meet-the-parents episode because of prior commitments but it now appears he's changed his mind.
Earlier today Danny's wife Joanne Mas appeared on This Morning to talk about the show and when asked if her husband would appear said: "Yeah, he'd want a cameo on that show. Yeah, he would love that."
Joanne also told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that the telly hardman will soften when he sees his daughter and Jack together.
She said: "Danny really likes Jack. I think Danny when he does meet Jack he'll probably cry. He's really possessive."
Jack's ex-girlfriend Ellie Jones, 22, revealed this week that a poster of Danny hangs on his bedroom wall.
Viewers were left in hysterics when Ellie told Dani, 22, that Jack sleeps under a poster for her dad's film The Business.
In last night's show he was seen fuming to the other male contestants about how Ellie was trying to sabotage his romance with Dani with the disclosure.
Jack was seen justifying why he had the print and insisted he and Dani are "strong" and can get through this drama.
Speaking to the lads, he said: "I had the canvas in my room of a film that Danny's dad is in called The Business.
"I used to have it in my room on this canvas, she's [Ellie's] made it out like I've got some strange poster of her [Dani's] dad.
"I was like 'what's she's doing?' She's made it out like I pray to Dani's dad every night."
Josh them chimed in asking: "Do you?" and Jack snapped back: "No."
It comes as Dani's best friend exclusively told The Sun Online that Danny will welcome Jack "with open arms".
Kayleigh Short said: "Danny isn’t scary at all, or intimidating. He’s a big softie in real life.
"Because Jack is coming across so well and does seem so nice I don’t see any problems.
"I think her family will welcome him with open arms."
