JAMES Tindale is to return to Geordie Shore four years after leaving the MTV reality show.
Hunky James was one of the original cast members of the popular series when it started in May 2011 but he quit in 2014 after appearing in just two episodes of series 10.
The star returned in 2016 for Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle and appeared as a guest in series 15 last year, and he is set to make a comeback again in the upcoming 18th series of the programme and has been partying with his Geordie pals at Newcastle's Bijoux Nightclub.
A source exclusively told The Sun Online: “James is already filming with the cast in Newcastle – he was on a night out with them and then they went to a kebab shop.
“Everyone was mortal, just like the old days – he was having a catch up with Sophie and getting friendly with Abbie.
“He’s single again and bosses think he’s exactly what the show needs right now.”
We have contacted a representative for James for comment and MTV declined to comment when approached by The Sun Online.
James, who has split from long-term girlfriend Kate Thorne, is yet to share any pictures of himself with the current cast of the show on social media but he has been in the gym working on his buffed-up physique to make sure he’s looking good and is in tip top shape for filming.
He is not the first star to make a return to Geordie Shore – Holly Hagan flew out to Australia to re-join her co-stars after she sensationally quit following series 13 in 2016, claiming it drove her to a nervous breakdown.
The Sun Online exclusively revealed earlier this year that MTV bosses broke the bank to get her back.
Holly previously told The Sun Online that the boozy lifestyle and emotional storylines pushed her to the brink.
However, rumours of a potential comeback started last year after she began spending more time with her former co-stars.
She told us: “I have absolutely no plans whatsoever in my life to ever return to that show, I am completely 100 per cent done with it.
“People watch it and think it’s the most amazing thing in the entire world, but there are a lot of things they never see and many can’t hack it.
“I have a breakdown every series, a complete mental breakdown.
“You put on 50 stone while you’re in there, you finish filming and your kidneys hurt from all the drinking, and you just feel horrible.”
Geordie Shore has also recruited 18-year-old newbie Faith Mullen for the next season.
The new cast member has been spotted out and about in Newcastle partying with her fellow cast members as they film scenes for the programme.
Filming for the next series started on Friday last week and the cast – including Chloe Ferry, Nathan Henry and Abbie Holborn – were introduced to Faith.
Also spotted on the night out were Sophie Kasaei, Sam Gowland and Adam Gurthrie who led the group into a packed nightclub.
A source explained: “Anna, who we know is in charge of the house, has brought Scotty in to work as a boss alongside her.
“He impressed bosses on Just Tattoo Of Us and they think he deserves a second chance.
“Scotty will be in charge of the Geordie’s activities and will be setting the challenges they do.
“He’s telling everyone he’s going out to make them all mortal and make the show crazy like it used to be.”
