Earlier this month Amelia's kidnapper was finally revealed after the 11-year-old discovered that Daz, played by Mark Jordan, is her biological father.

Next week, Daz will be arrested again, despite finding the girl and her kidnapper Beth.

But Laura, 35, seemed to suggest he'll be cleared of any wrongdoing.

She said: "It’s a bit turbulent isn’t it? It's not by any means over yet.

"Daz is a suspect but there's another couple of twists and turns.

"We do a find her, but does she want to come home, does it have anything to do with him?"

Laura is dating Mark in real life, and she said she loves working with him.

She said: "It sounds corny but it is lush, he plays Daz."

But onscreen her character, Kerry's partner Dan and Daz’s ex Bernice Blackstock still all believe Daz is behind Amelia’s abduction.

Kerry confronts Daz and tried to beat him up, and Laura admitted it was hard to stay serious during rehearsals.

She told Loose Women: "We practised beating him up and it was a bit weird. I took the stage directions for safety.

"But we couldn't stop laughing. So we didn't get one (full) practice in.

"I had to get really physical, it was hard at that time in the moment."

The star joined in 2012 and hasn't looked back - admitted she loves the pace of working on the prime time soap.

She added: "It's been brilliant there have been a lot of twists and turns. There is a massive cast as you know and there are periods where you are not on screen, and then suddenly you are in the deep end."
