Carol McGiffin is a TV personality and presenter.
She was born on 18th February 1960 and is best known for her observational style of comedy.
She is best known in recent years for her role as a panellist on Loose Women from 2003-2013.
Years after her departure, she recently returned to the show as a guest panellist.
Prior to her appearance she had said: “Almost exactly five years ago I did my last show on Loose Women, and I have to admit I’ve really missed it - in more ways than one! - so I’m absolutely delighted to be back on the show next week. I’m a bit nervous, but mostly I’m excited to be sitting behind that desk again with the girls, doing what I do best - talking rubbish!”
Upon her return to Loose Women on Thursday 5 July, Carol revealed she'd had a facelift after a tumultuous few years.
The star also discussed losing her sister in 2017 to cancer and the hardships she's battled through in recent times including cancer.
In September, Carol spoke to Best Magazine and confessed that she's convinced her eventual passing will be from cancer despite having beaten it once already.
She said: "I'm 58 I will probably still die from cancer, but I don't think it will be tomorrow so I'm getting on with stuff."

Carol is with her long-term partner toyboy Mark Cassidy who has seen her through her battle with breast cancer.
Mark, 36, popped the question to Carol, 58, back in 2008 and the pair is yet to become man and wife.
Carol previously revealed she feared Mark lied to her about not wanting a baby after seeing him strike up a close relationship with her great-nephews.
The TV presenter and Mark were both adamant they didn't want kids when they started dating nearly a decade ago.
