WARWICK Davis has described his anguish after losing two of his children when they were just babies.
The Harry Potter star and his wife Samantha's first children, Lloyd and George, inherited two forms of dwarfism from their parents and it proved fatal.
The couple went on to have a daughter Annabelle, now 21, and a son Harrison, aged 15.
Speaking about the double-tragedy, he told Bear Grylls on Tuesday’s Bear’s Mission with Warwick Davis: "Prior to Annabelle and Harrison we had a baby boy, Lloyd, who inherited both our conditions… and that is something that proves fatal."
The heartbreak was not over for them as Sam lost their second child, George, at 19 weeks.
He said: "It’s something that a baby won’t survive. But Lloyd he survived for nine days, but yeah he was beautiful."
"It was a tough time. And yeah, we had a stillborn too.
The Star Wars legend and Sam have managed to live through the pain together.
He added: "That kind of stuff it just makes you stronger."
Warwick was born in Epsom, Surrey on February 3, 1970, with Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, an extremely rare genetic form of dwarfism.
His wife has achondroplasia and he has previously said that the only drawbacks to their dwarfism is the associated health problems.
The couple met while filming his movie Willow, where Samantha had a minor role as a Nelwyn villager.
He is known for many roles, including in Star Wars and Harry Potter.
He played the role of Professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter films.
But his first ever role was an an Ewok extra in Star Wars. When Kenny Baker, who was originally going to play Wicket fell ill, Davis was asked to fill the post.
In 2010, he published his autobiography, Size Matters Not: The Extraordinary Life and Career of Warwick Davis.
